Newscasts in Papiamento from Radio Nederland Wereldomroep

Here is a response I received 17 January 2008 to an inquiry about Radio Netherlands' broadcasts in Papiamento. —RH

Note– 11:15 UTC corresponds to 6:15 AM Eastern Standard Time or 7:15 AM Eastern Daylight Time.

We do not broadcast in Papiamento on shortwave... It is, however, possible to listen to the news in Papiamento via our website. The Papiamento section is at the end of our programme Linea Recta for the Netherlands Antillen and Aruba, at 11.15 UTC.

If you listen live, you have to chose the mp3-stream. The WMA-stream is taken over by another programme at 11.00 UTC. Listening back is possible for a week in both WMA and mp3 (scroll to appr. 45 minutes in the programme).
